Lansing CC Softball hits big with several players earning awards
To the victor goes the spoils. With the Lansing CC Softball Team winning their first Michigan Community College Athletic Association (MCCAA) Western Conference Softball Championship since 2009 and Coach Marc Kibby's first as head coach, numerous players and the coach were honored this week with awards for achievements both on and off the field.
Marc Kibby - MCCAA Western Conference Coach of the Year.
Alexandra Grys - NJCAA Region XII All Region, All-MCCAA Team, MCCAA Western Conference 1st Team, NJCAA Superior Academic All American.
Madison Adams - NJCAA Region XII All Region, All-MCCAA Team, MCCAA Western Conference 1st Team, NJCAA Superior Academic All American
Following grade point averages must be met:
- 4.00 GPA on a 4.00 scale for 36 quarter hours or 24 semester hours for NJCAA Pinnacle Award for Academic Excellence.
- 3.80 to 3.99 on a 4.00 scale for 36 quarter hours or 24semester hours for NJCAA Award for Superior Academic Achievement.
- 3.60 to 3.79 on a 4.00 scale for 36 quarter hours or 24 semester hours for NJCAA Award for Exemplary Academic Achievement.
